& Info.....
DIRECTIONS
& PARKING
Follow the
A259 Brighton to Eastbourne road through Seaford and follow
the signs for "Triathlon Parking" in the town
centre. There is allocated parking for the event which
is sign posted right next to the race venue. There is
a £3.00 charge for parking, which the Rotary Club
of Seaford is collecting. Money raised from parking will
go to local and national charities. Alternatively use
any of the pay and display car parks in and around Seaford.
Please do not park on the seafront. There is a rail service
run by Govia between Brighton and Eastbourne, which stops
at Seaford. Seaford will be busy so allow plenty of time
for parking and to get to registration.
REGISTRATION
(Located in the marquee on Martello Fields, close to Martello
Tower Museum)
Registration
is open on Saturday from 12:00pm to 4:00pm and on Sunday
from 7:00am to 8:40am.
At registration
you collect your race numbers, safety pins to attach numbers
and official T-shirt.
Make sure your race numbers are clearly displayed on your
front and back and are pinned in all four corners.
Not displaying
your race numbers fully may mean a time penalty and possibly
no overall time in the results. Race numbers must not
be mutilated or folded in any way, as this will constitute
a 2 minute penalty!
It is good
practice to write your name, blood group and any allergies
you may have on the back of your race number in the unfortunate
case of an accident! Please note mobile phones or any
type of personal music system is not permitted whilst
competing in the event.
TOILETS
Public toilets
are situated on the seafront.
The run starts
out flat and fast on the coast road before turning around
and heading back to Martello Tower for a short, but quite
steep climb up to the rear of the golf club. The short
climb and descent is on gravel and grass. From there you
drop back down into Seaford towards the town centre on
footpath before heading back towards the seafront to complete
the lap. Please take care on the run course as there may
be pedestrians.
When you have
completed the required lap(s) filter onto Martello Field
